Thin Polyester Film is widely used in industrial application as an insulation medium. Some common applications are cable overwrap, wires, transformers, membrane touch switches and Flexible printed circuit boards.

Thick polyester film (more than 50 microns) is used for ground and phase insulation in motor applications. These films are also available in milky white and hazy variants.
